Ranjita Rao
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC 115310)
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am passionate about helping individuals and couples that feel burdened by the effects of their anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I know that everyone comes to therapy for different reasons, and I work with my clients to identify their own aspirations, and then tailor my approach to provide them the tools and support they need to overcome their obstacles and reach their goals.

SPECIALTIES & THERAPY APPROACH
ANXIETY ~ DEPRESSION ~ perinatal mental Health ~ relationship challenges
Ranjita works with a wide range of clients and issues—from adolescents dealing with the stress of high-school and college, to couples trying to navigate the complexities of relationships in today’s world, to women struggling with infertility, depression, and anxiety during pregnancy and post-partum. She is passionate about the work that she does with all of her clients and her main goal is to help them navigate and cope with their struggles while helping provide the necessary tools and support.
THERAPY APPROACH
In practice, Ranjita utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a Strengths-Based approach to help clients identify and challenge unhealthy thought patterns, and leverage their existing strengths to address their challenges. By integrating techniques from different modalities, Ranjita helps her clients challenge and overcome “stuck” areas, ultimately resulting in more productive, healthy thought patterns, increased self-esteem, and more meaningful, authentic lives.
I believe that each individual is the product of their own beliefs and experiences. Therapy is a journey, unique to each individual, and is not “one size fits all.” Working together, I help my clients identify their own goals and aspirations, and empower them to lead more meaningful and authentic lives.
